Drawings returned to Moscow
 Nikolai Gay collection returned to Tretyakov Gallery.
A collection of unique drawings by the prominent 19th century Russian painter Nikolai Gay has been given to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
In all the collection includes 55 drawings which were bought by Russian bank VTB from a private collection in Switzerland where they were brought by the artist's son early in the 20th century.
The Tretyakov art gallery in Moscow is the foremost depository of Russian fine art in the world. Nikolai Gay was a Russian realist painter famous for his works on historical and religious motifs.
