The Moscow International House of Music, located on the Kosmodamianskaya qual of the Moskva river, is a modern center of performing arts and independent producer entity, which opened in 2003. The House of Music, as it is commonly called, is considered one of the Russian capital's top sightseeing attractions both for its architechtural and musical qualities.
The complex houses three halls, the Svetlanovksy, Kamerny and the Theatre at the House of Music. The main auditorium of the concert hall seats 1,735 and is composed mainly of Siberian larch wood, considered to be one of the best in the world for acoustics. The chamber hall, Kamerny, seats 575 and the theatre seats 532.
 In addition to the three concert venues, the complex also boasts a sound studio, a rehearsal hall, an audio-video complex, an exhibition hall, a hall of light, music rooms, the Allegro restaurant, a Bluthner music room, a summer patio called the Music Terrace, and another concert hall that seats 120.
The modern cylindrical glass and steel structure is topped by an enormous, 9.5 meter-tall, 2 metric-ton treble clef covered in mozaic gold that rotates.
The House of Music also is home to the largest organ in Russia, with more than 5,500 pipes ranging in size from 8 milimeters to 9.25 meters. The organ weighs 30 tons and has 84 stops, three more than the 2nd larger organ in Russia.
