Modern International Independent Film Festival 2Morrow on in Moscow!
The 5th annual 2Morrow Internationa Film Festival is currently running in Moscow. The film festival was created by film director Ivan Dykhovichny and producer Renant Davletyarov. However now the main sponser, Audi, is working with Olga Dykovichnaya and Anton Mazurov.
This year there are 9 films vying for the top prize, 3 of which are Russian films. Otar Iosseliani will personally present his new film "Chantrapa," which opened official at the Cannes Film Festival. Other competing films include "Inspiration," by Provmyza, a group from Nizhny Novgorod, which participated in the Venice Film Festival; "The Dnepr" by Aleksandr Shapiro, which participated in the Cannes Film Festival; Romanian film "Tales From the Golden Age," by Cristian Mungiu; "The Four Times," by Italian director Michelangelo Framartino; "Crab Trap" by Columbian Oscar Ruiz Navia; "The Clone Returns Home" by Japanese director Kanji Nakajima; "Winter Vacation" by Chinese director Li Hongi, which won the Golden Leopard in Locarno; "The Temptation of St. Tony" by Estonian director Veiko Ounpuu; and a film by Russian Ramil Salakhutkinov.
The festival will also show other internatinoal films, many of which have already won awards at other festivals, but are not competing at the 2Morrow festival.
